Well, we usually have a thread. I think the changes will take some getting used to but I’m pleased it’s back.

Liked the opening dancing out in the beach and in the open air. Beautifully evocative.

Shame they haven’t roped in a fourth judge.

Seems so flat in the studio with no audience.

Maleficent is glued, I'm rushing to finish the project behind the garage.

Love Strictly - lets have more like it. Saturday nights are not the same otherwise ...

They seem to have a small audience. Obviously not for the group dances as they were recorded separately.

I didn’t recognise Gorka with his blond hair!

Has it been that long? I love it ...and still want to do the Charleston x Charleston x Charleston x

It's on but tbh I can do without the meet-the-contestants gushathon.
Is that a wig Motsi's wearing?

I quite like the opening programme so I can learn who is who. Otherwise if I just tune in when the dancing competition starts I haven’t a clue who the majority of them are.

Must be a wig ... I didn't recognise her for a minute. Glad it's back, love Saturday night Strictly. Good sprinkling of not-so-young contestants this year too.

I'm sure we'll get used to the changes ... but I'll miss Bruno.

The changes will take some getting used to but as ST said, I am pleased it is back. It is bittersweet for me as my beloved mum died a few months ago and we always watched Strictly as a family, watching it tonight felt comforting as I know she would have enjoyed it but emotional as she is not here with me.

I enjoy our TES yearly Strictly thread.

@Aquamarina1234, you may well be right.
Caroline Quentin was surprisingly graceful and light on her feet ... not sure that I could say the same about Jacqui Smith! Then there's Bill Bailey ... time will tell.

That’s really hard. So sad and poignant. Thinking of you @smurphy6.

Glad it’s back. Something to talk about that’s not COVID once we get used to the format.
Didn’t take to HRVY or the Eastenders girl. Bill Bailey looked light on his feet and the guy from The Wanted was the most nervous of all of them!
