I've just narrowly missed hitting a dog which was wandering down a nearby country lane in the dark. There were only 3 houses in the vicinity and no-one recognised the dog. I've brought it home and have tried to report it and have it collected - the police don't deal with stray dogs anymore, the council dog warden is closed til Monday and the RSPCA ansaphone says that they don't deal with stray dogs as it's the local Council's responsibility
I've got 2 dogs of my own and am looking after a third - I really don't want to have this dog til Monday and presumably it's owners are worried. Any suggestions?
