    Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for story books I could use in Year 1 Maths lessons?

    Thanks in advance,

Oh I'm very grateful for this thread as I'm heading off to Year 1 in September! I can sense a shopping trip is needed ... where did I leave the school credit card?

  6. One of my lecturers has been studying this last year and did her PhD on it here in Australia... not sure if she is finished just yet. She was definitely close.

Here is a fairly easy to read journal article she wrote on developing a framework to categorise and utliise story books with mathematics .
She went and interviewed loads of authors and some 400 students in the course had to write lesson plans based on books with maths in them. So if you google her there might be lots more info out there.
