Funding cuts and changes to the curriculum are resulting in the creative subjects being sidelined in many schools. If numbers drop in exam groups questions are then asked about group viability. It is a downward trend that must be countered. I have become more aggressive in my promotion of Art, emphasising cross curricular links, career paths and the coursework based nature of the subject, which can contribute to a balanced curriculum. How are other people finding things? Have people found any useful strategies?
