Stay and Play sessions

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by Lisabeee, Jul 1, 2012.

  1. I have to organise a stay and play session for 0-3 years focussing on speech and language. Any ideas???

  2. Anything with nursery rhymes, stories, simple card/dice games, doing jigsaws etc etc.
If adults are talking with the children then I think it would qualify.
Rhymes and songs is a good one though because most parents feel confident that they know some and can share with children, even from birth to three. If they have a different first language or have a background from another culture they will also have a wealth of rhymes and songs to share.

  3. Thanks!! I was thinking maybe nursery rhymes and perhaps incorporating puppets and musical instruments??

  4. Does your school have Story sacks? That's what I use for our Early Learning club.
