    Hi

Welcome to the supply forum and all best wishes for your new venture as a supply teacher.

Take these next few weeks to brush up on your behaviour management skills and buy Taking Care of Behaviour by Paul Dix.

I know this sounds simplistic, but go through your wardrobe and organise all your outfits and decide what you are going to wear for a week. Ensure your shoes are clean, your hair nicely styled, and you are organised.

If you drive to work, always ensure you have plenty of petrol in your car.

Be braced for anything: you will probably meet some of the most wonderful students imaginable, but you will be stretched to the limit with your tolerance levels when dealing the behaviourally challenged.

Read through some of the other threads on here for new supply teachers for more advice on what to expect.

    Merry Christmas
