    Hi all,
Has anyone else had the experience of starting their NQT year at the beginning of the summer term. I have just been offered a maternity cover which will start at easter. Just wondering what it's like starting when the kids have been settled with the same teacher for two terms and then you go in with your own ideas and methods.
I'm guessing it also has the advantage that i can do a term and then have a 6 week break!

Sometimes issues do arise being out of kilter with the academic year particularly the availability of support and courses you also need to ensure the school formally record your induction with the LA so there are no hiccups with the administration. One big advantage is starting the new academic year with a term's experience that you can build on with a new class.
