Starter activities

Discussion in 'History' started by alexs1990, Oct 25, 2011.

  1. I have a PGCE interview next week and one of the tasks is to prepare a few starter activities that will engage and challenge the children. I am just wondering if anybody would be willing to share any starters that they think are fun and pretty short and sweet. I have looked at starter generator, but I feel only a select few can be used specifically in history lessons.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Have you had a look on the resources on here? Which area of history would you like to focus on for your starters?

  3. I used inference squares quite often as starters to my history lessons.

If you PM me your email, ill send you an example.

  4. Hello
I have looked at the starters and just wanted to see if anybody had any extra ideas. Sadly youdon't get the topic they want you to talk about until the day and so I don't know what the topic will be.

  5. I've sent you an email to your email address with a few examples. Hope they help
