Seems to be religious extremists... if the government minister is to be believed.

It's easy to be a Christian in the West. Elsewhere, not so much.

The Government are blaming a Muslim group, National Thoweed Jamath, but have yet to provide evidence. Given most of the conflict in Sri Lanka has been between the Buddhist (70%) majority and the Muslim minority, I'm rather puzzled as to why Christian groups were targeted like this. No doubt further details will be provided once available.
