    Hello all,

Have found the community particularly useful recently in terms of the resources upload for the spoken word requirement of the AQA syllabus. I wonder, though, what speeches people have used for analysis?

Also, I'm a big fan of the Ted Talks (www.ted.com/talks.) They also come with a transcript. While they have some paralinguistic features, they don't have so much in terms of idiolect. What would anyone think to using one of those?

    Ta!

For anyone reading, or refinding, this thread, AQA have got back to me and suggested that Ted Talks contains some excellent material; especially as they often informal speeches in a formal context.
