I am looking to move from being a general primary practitioner into specialising in Primary Modern Foreign Language teaching. As the future for primary language teaching is currently "on hold", it is probably not the best time to be doing this but its where my passion lies and where I really want to be! I have a BA Hons in German, French A level and a PGCE qualification with curriculum specialisation in Primary MFL (German). Having 7 years teaching experience across KS2 and additional curriculum responsibility for PMFL for 4 of those years, I am now looking to specialise in language teaching, be it teaching languages during PPA cover time or as a language specialist teacher in either the independent sector or the state sector. Does anyone have any advice on how I best go applying for jobs, approaching schools etc?
