I'm a big fan of Sir Elton's early albums but.......

I never want to hear "Benny and the Jets" again.

..also anything sung by Phil Collins

For some reason (and despite an eclectic taste in music) I have a deep seated, almost genetic loathing for Boz Scaggs' Lido Shuffle. It's like some pub singer making random noises for three and a half minutes after too many pints of cheap ale. That's three and a half minutes of my life that I'll never get back again, and I hate you for it Boz, hate you.

Now that's a song I remember from Uni days c.1976-77; the college had a library of LPs one could borrow, and this was one I took out repeatedly. ;)

    Great song... takes me back.

I'll be listening to it on Youtube this evening...:D

"The Diary of Horace Wimp" from one of ELO's later (and rubbish) albums.

    Hate it

Anything by or featuring Eminem. He needs an extra dose of sunshine and puppies.

I love that. Takes me back.

I hate that song they have on the Jet 2 advert - they played it continuously for over an hour while we were stuck on the runway a couple of years ago. I was nearly at screaming point.

Don't forget the chorus Frank, it goes something like

Lido, whoa fliggely bobbly fooooon wibbly dibbly phone for the vicar and salt and vinegar whooo woobly doobly flaaaarb.

Full of deep meaning and insight.

    So unfair! :D

    Lyrics
Lido missed the boat that day he left the shack
But that was all he missed
    And he ain't comin' back
At a tombstone bar, in a juke joint car he made a stop
Just long enough to grab a handle off the top
Next stop Chi town, Lido put the money down, let 'em roll
He said one more job ought to get it
One last shot 'fore we quit it
    One for the road
    Lido
    Whoah oh oh oh
He's for the money, he's for the show
Lido's waitin' for the go, Lido
Whoah oh oh oh oh oh
He said one more job ought to get it
One last shot 'fore we quit it
    One more for the road
Lido will be runnin', havin' great big funnin' till he got the note
Sayin' toe the line or blow it and that was all she wrote
He'll be makin' like a bee line, headin' for the border line, goin' for broke
Sayin' one more hit ought to do it
This joint ain't nothin' to it
    One more for the road
    Lido
    Whoah oh oh oh
He's for the money, he's for the show
Lido's waitin' for the go, Lido
Whoah oh oh oh oh oh
One more job ought to get it
One last shot then we quit it
    One more for the road
    Lido
    Woah oh oh oh
He's for the money, he's for the show
Lido's waitin' for the go, Lido
Woah oh oh oh oh oh
One more job ought to get it
Songwriters: David Paich / Boz Scaggs

You could understand him going a bit loopy in 'Stan', given that Dido's toilet appears to empty directly into his cellar.

Anything by the Bee Gees sung in falsetto.

    How it should have gone:

"Listen boys, I can sing in a high pitched squeaky voice!"

"Ha, ha, that's really funny, now stop it and never do it again".

Many moons ago there was a Bee Gees PI**take act called " The Hee Bee Gee Bees" - I saw them as a support act at University and they were terrible.

One of them was Angus Deayton
