So what should happen next?

Hello! Can anyone tell me what should happen next. I've been off work for 5 weeks and my gp says that I am now fit to return but should work shorter days for 2 weeks as a phased return. My headteacher has referred me to occupational health but I have had no appointment through. Term starts on Monday with an INSET day so should I expect to go back as normal next week, or should I not go back until I have seen occupational health or what?

    Any guidance greatly appreciated.

  2. It is the OPs decision when he/she returns to work. A GP can sign you off work and SSP should be paid but there should also be a phased return if required and, as has been previously remarked, the OPs employer should have clarified this.
