So cranky I can't stand it!

  2. Poor man barely got a word in.... I said "Ok... timetable.... you said it would be better next term.... it is far worse..........(etc.... etc..... etc..... reminded him of what he said)....... Anyway, I'm not here to whinge. May I make a suggestion?"
    "Eh.... yes?"
    "If you shift my morning class here......... blah, blah, blah.... then I could actually have this day off entirely"
    And he had a look, a quick think and said "Oh, Ok.... Done."
    E-mail to staff half an hour later, advising of timetable changes... my new timetable in my pigeon hole an hour later............

  3. Oh, and sorry.... .still reduced hours for next year... but absolute assurance that it will be reduced to three days, and not spread over 4-5!

    Glad it all seems to have resolved itself as best as you could have hoped for.

    You were shafted because you let yourself be.

    You put matters right by not letting yourself be shafted.

    Lesson learnt for everyone I guess.

    Some are not able to be as assertive with authority figures.

    That is where Unions come in. They have their place x
