    You might think this is a wind-up, but the questions are serious nevertheless.

    Should a HT have a drink mid-week?
    Should a HT have a drink mid-week in a pub?
    Should a HT have a drink mid-week in a pub and be out past 11pm?
    Should a HT be seen having a drink mid-week in a pub and being out past 11pm?
    Should a HT be seen having a drink mid-week in a pub and being out past 11pm when he is off ill the next day?
    Should a HT be seen having a drink mid-week in a pub and being out past 11pm when he is off ill the next day and this happens several times?

    I suspect SMT will think that being in seen in a local pub drinking past 11pm is poor form, but still acceptable (depending on what kind of public image they want to have.) The latter questions are clearly outrageous.

    Why can't people just ask a simple question or make a straightforward point any more?

    They'll get very dehydrated if they don't... [IMG]

    BTW the answer to all your questions is 'none of your business' except, peossibly this one;
    Which might raise concerns...

    Many times Headteachers are 'out' of school but off doing something work related, e.g. LA meetings, visiting other schools, courses etc... Just because you don't see them in school and know that theya ren't in school that day doesn't necessarily mean that they are having a sick day,
