Small/Medium School Suitable for Teenagers

I have a personal preference for teaching in smallish sized schools (<400 for K-12). Yet have chosen to work in larger schools the last couple of years as our children reach secondary school.

This is due to our experience that most smaller schools, although great for elementary students, seem to often be lacking in both the facilities and teacher expertise department for secondary. For example, in one of our schools, the PE teacher also taught mathematics and IT, despite lacking the experience/qualification in those subjects. It also lacked a science lab. That said, we love the community feel of these schools and smaller class sizes. Teaching in the elementary department, it's much preferred to larger schools.

So my question is, do smallish schools exist whereby you would be happy having your child enrolled in the secondary division?
