SLT member undermining leadership

    From an impeccable source, it has been hinted that a member of SLT has spoken to staff about their lack of support for a strategic decision. What would you do, given that the source cannot be disclosed?

    I hope that the SLT member has argued their case to you, whether in private or in SLT meetings. If not, why not?

    Don't really see there is much you can do.

    At your next SLT meeting, you could give a general reminder about the importance of unity and remind your team how disapointed you would be if any of them were ever unprofessional enough to criticise school leadership outside of the privacy of your office... That'll make em' squirm a bit!

    Sounds like the 'impeccable source' maybe likes to 'gossip' and perhaps be seen as a 'source' - maybe this is part of the problem. Not a good idea to rely on 'hearsay' no matter how honest it seems - or to encourage a climate of 'sources' and gossip. :cool::cool::cool:
