I went to drop off and giftaid a car load of stuff at a charity shop yesterday. There was a sign on the door telling people that the shop was shut for a week "because of short staff. Sorry for the inconvience."

Most of the shop staff are unpaid volunteers so I suppose if no-one wants to do it then they can't open.

Well, what else could they do if none of the staff could reach the door handle?
