    Hi all,

I know there is a wealth of Kindly experience here and having already scoured the net with no good results, I am just seeking a final verdict. Kindle (the old kind with a keyboard) went all black at the weekend despite being fully charged. A bit of holding down buttons etc has resulted in a 'factory reset' and a screen with the Kindle logo but no other pages possible. I am unsure at this point if it utterly dead or maybe just needs a new battery. Has anybody had this happen to their Kindle and managed to recover it? Thanks

    Oh dear!

Best thing to do is e-mail the Amazon kindle support and they'll ring you to talk you through it.

    Best wishes

Thanks Theo - wil do that at some point soon. When I got home just now, my OH had managed to resurrect it but within moments it died again.
