Are forests a weapon you'd welcome in our arsenal against Climate Change?

    Also... personally speaking...

Forests are just lovely... cooling, delightful... sanctuaries for wildlife...

Forests are great...personally not too keen on mangroves!

Trees can help with flooding and landslides too. Win, win, win.

You say 'doh!' but considering the rate at which the rainforest is being cut down... maybe that message needs to be pushed harder?

    True.
It's a message without questions, though. There's no doubt that reforestation is one of the things we can do to help.
    Sorry for being arsey.

Why's that? (I had an 'interesting' experience involving mangroves and ants)

Just don't like the look of them! Irrational, perhaps... But that's the truth!

    Aren't mangroves where alligators live?

    And ants?

Scuse me-I know it's not like me to be facetious, but having just "liked" the opening post for it's global imperative, I immediately spotted it was the only like, but the subsequent post stating that forests are also cooling and delightful and nice for animals already had multiple likes.
So this is just a quick test post to see if I can manage ten likes for a cute cat.

which according to rule #7 of "what I get out of the internet", are much more likeable than scientically proven plans to save our planet and our fate as a race.

When ants get big enough to eat me in one mouthful I'll be concerned about them [Fallout flashbacks] until then... alligators.

I read a Leslie Charteris the Saint short story about that once. I don't like the idea of it at all.

To respond seriously... it's my observation that usually the OP rarely gets much in the way of likes, irrespective of the topic.

There was a post a bit back by Teslasmate* which really took off in terms of 'likes' but it's usually the subsequent discussion that gains more attention.

True... pine forests are quite ugly.
