Should I use a IWB in an interview lesson or..

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by rebeccafound, Feb 26, 2012.

  1. hi I have a 20 mins lesson obs for interview, phase 4 phonics, should I be using the IWB throughout or in a circle with the children doing interactive games? My head says games, use of whiteboards to write on etc, to show my skills with the children well...any advice? thanks

  2. If you have IWB I would say incorporate it in an inspiring lesson. Use the whole lot as your head says. Don't simply use the IWB to do whole group teaching. Use it for small group work or model what's expected in small group work. Be discerning and realise that the IWB is a tool to stimulate / inspire. Not all of your children will engage. How will you cater for them in your interview?
