Sharing learning objectives/WALTS+WILFS etc... getting it "right" (for Ofsted)?

Discussion in 'Modern foreign languages' started by Stuart_Jamie, Apr 23, 2012.

  1. Children don't want or need objectives, just good teaching.
What Ofsted want is another matter. Thankfully I am in a position to avoid such nonsense. No getting away from CAs though!

Ofsted inspectors (I am not one) are not after one particular way of presenting lesson objectives. What they are after is lessons which are well contextualised and relevant, i.e. where links with prior learning and with expected outcomes for the unit are made clear. I.e. it's about ensuring pupils are not made to work in the dark.
