I’m hoping someone can help as I’m struggling to get a definitive answer anywhere.

Since going on Shared Parental Leave means curtailing Maternity Leave, does this mean that my 13 weeks that I’m required to return to work if I take Occupational Maternity Pay starts when I go back to work even though my husband will be going off?

Example: I go on maternity leave September for 36 weeks and go back to work in May. Does my 13 weeks start in May (end of Maternity Leave but start of Shared Parental Leave) even if my husband is then off from May until September?

I can't see why it wouldn't. Whether your husband is taking time off or not has no effect on the school. It might be different if you are taking another block of SPL yourself, but you're not.
