Something a bit different I am doing an assembly on the subject and wanted some good into music - something fast and furious would be good but any ideas (that are appropriate and would not get me sacked) would be good just thought id ask you lot as it all gets a bit seriious on here at time (though I am still looking for a serious answer!

Hi, I'm not sure if you've already seen it but CEOP have just released a
video for 14-18 year olds about sexting called "Exposed". You can
download it for free from www.thinkuknow.co.uk in the
teacher/trainer section and it comes with classroom material and an assembly PowerPoint
which might be helpful. More info on the video etc can be found at www.thinkuknow.co.uk/teachers/exposed
    and www.thinkuknow.co.uk/11_16/control/sexting/

There's also a really good (although American focused) website www.thatsnotcool.com which has some
useful ideas and videos you could follow up with.

For the music, I'm not much help I'm afraid! I'd think it would be too tongue
in cheek (depends on the age group I'd guess) but for a training session with
adults I once used the song by Taio Cruz Ft Ke$ha "Take a dirty
picture" when discussing sexting and the sexualisation of children. You
might want to check with SLT before picking this one though!

Otherwise perhaps most dance music would probably be fast paced enough, I've
used Moby "Porcelain" and "Why does my heart feel so bad".
It might be too slow by "Stop crying your heart out" (either Leona Lewis or Oasis versions) works
    well in this context.

  3. And apologies for the rubbish formatting!

    passes for music today...

Oops I got the wrong end of the stick a bit anyway it would appear that
is probably the best bet and you get to be down with the kids too. Whilst there is no offensive language in it.

If we want to put them off, with need some music that causes a negative reaction (like in aversion theropy).
How about some Kenny G 'Luv' music?

    For you colywnexile:

Vomit! It's worked for me :)
  12. Must be my age or something but I quite liked the Kenny G.
Wet as a frogman's fart but he is an amazing musician.
How about some sleazy, retro 80's material that's at least on topic?
