sex and relationships resources for autistic students

Discussion in 'PSHE' started by viclambrusco, Jan 6, 2011.

  1. I work in a Special Needs college with young adults. The four students in my group are aged 19-23, at NC pre-entry level, and on the autistic spectrum. None has a great deal of speech.

I've been charged with the task of finding some appropriate resources regarding sex and relationships. A Google tends to throw up reams of material from the policy documents of numerous schools, but nothing of concrete applicability for my situation.

Is there any advice out there?
  2. I know Luton Autism team (part of Integrated Services for Children with Additional Needs - ISCAN) are working on these sorts of materials, but not sure what the sharing or pruchasing arrangements are. Hope this might help.
