My daughter has just finished and thoroughly enjoyed the Noughts and Crosses trilogy , and I was wondering if anyone could recommend anything similar ?
She's read all Jaqueline Wilson, Heidi , Katy series of books as well as all the David Williams books . She isn't in to vampires so Twilight is out , and I'm not sure Hunger Games / Harry Potter is her thing either . Thanks in advance !

Has she tried Ottoline by Chris Riddell (maybe a little young??) or Goth Girl? Beautifully illustrated and good stories too.

My 11 year old has discovered, and adores Dork Diaries. Ghastly books, but she loves them!

Not a series but a really good read. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.

These are great and have a young girl (witch) as protagonist. Nothing like Potter so don't worry!

Sharon Creech is quite good...I'd start off with Ruby Holler. Philip Ridley is also excellent- Mighty Fizz Chilla would be my favourite, although it is one of the longer ones. Brilliant illustrations and a bit whacky.
And Philip Reeve's Mortal Engines series is fantastic.
