I work at a short stay school where we typically have a small cohort and the widest range of abilities. In our circumstances we rarely have the pupils for more than a year and with the ones who stay and sit an exam we need to do a science qualification that means something to their home school (pupils are dual registered while they are with us). The new changes mean that the linear nature of the course does not suit our situation. The choice appears to be 1 separate science GCSE in year 10 and another in year 11 or something completely different that probably doesn't count in progress tables and schools will not want. ? Any other ideas anyone.
