    Dear Forum members
As a senior teacher in his sixties and well qualified and in good health I am losing the will to
to apply for teaching posts. This is due to negative responses where agents or schools
just think that senior teachers have passed their "Sell by Date".Eg Saudi Arabia ,Emirates etc have a policy that
disqualifies candidate aged 50 + as cutoff point..I was brought up with the proverb 'experience is the best teacher'
Is the world building the epitaph 'Rest In Peace'for such teachers.?
I think we should engage U.N Human Rights to declare one day in the year 'Respect Senior Citizen Day'
    Please respond
    Regards
    B.Ebrahim

Some countries have visa requirements and an employer can't employ somebody over a certain age even if they want to. If you're looking to work overseas there are specialist forums where you can get advice.
