After a terrible start to teaching a long time ago I'm about to embark on my NQT year as an SEN teacher. I've 20 years experience of working with varying levels of learning disabilities and am ready for a new challenge. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.
Looking for essential reading and resource signposts really. Any help greatly appreciated.
Needless to say I'm very excited and thrilled to be back in the classroom.

That ' s great. If you can be more specific about the nature of the SEN then I am sure colleagues will help

Not got any helpful advice for you as I am in a similar position due to start next week after 10 years of mainstream maths (with some ebd work thrown in!). Just wanted to say good luck and if I get any helpful advice I'll be sure to pass it on. What is the ature of the pupils you will be working with ie needs, ages etc

NASEN is always a worthwhile place to start.
