Self-taught courses? Anyone tried math?

Discussion in 'Professional development' started by rachelthompsonta, Jun 15, 2015.

  1. HI all,

wondering if anyone can help me out, i'm looking at branching into key skills as well as my own specialism, art and textiles, hopefully math first. I'm only qualified to level 2 in both math and literacy, so a standalone specialist qualification is out of my reach, until i gain level 3.

I have a bit of a plan to self-teach level 3/a level math and take it with one of my local colleges as a private candidate? has anyone tried this approach, how did you find it?

    thanks everyone,

    rachel

  2. Hello Rachel,

My name is Matthew. I am a math teacher, presently teaching in Egypt. I am interested in developing myself professionally, which is one of the reasons I joined this forum. Could you please tell me more about "Self-taught courses." How do you mean qualified level 2 in Maths and ...?

I am truly sorry for any trouble my inquiries might put you through.

Looking forward to reading from you soon. Thank you.

    Matthew
