Selection Event for PGDE(S) Music at Strathclyde Uni

Discussion in 'Music' started by scotkat, May 1, 2011.

  1. Hello
I've got my audition/interview on 3 May and I am rather nervous.
Has anyone done this in music before? I am a bit unsure about the presentation about the importance of music education. Especially as other candidates will be present.
It sounds rather daunting to me.
Thanks for advice, tips etc :)

The general rule for these things is read the National Curriculum and keep your clothes on. (Unless it's Cambridge where you just read the National Curriculum).

    All the very best. Lennox.

    Hi scotkat
What did happen at your audition/interview?
I had one pupil who had RSAMD audition earlier in year. She played well but was asked very few questions. I was surprised there was not a theory paper test, but maybe she would have had to do that if she had got through round 1 (she didn't get in, but has been offered a place elsewhere which she has accepted.
Let us know when you get your results (please!)
  4. Hi
audition and interview went ok and I got a place on the PGDE course! Start next monday ... very excited!
