The new Edexcel spec Controlled Assessments need pupils to research and evaluate secondary evidence, so I'm planning an ongoing H/W task for them to practice this in preparation for next year.
They are average/low ability. I'm trying to think of suitable topics/experiments for them to get data on and some ideas where they can find it. I don't want them just googling and printing out pages of work that is much too advanced and I know they haven't a clue what it means!
    Thanks for any suggestions....

  2. Secondary evidence can be another group's experiments. Have a look at the sample coursework and the samples on the OCR and AQA websites for ideas too. Probably to do with rate of cooling!
