Hello, sorry if I posted in the wrong place but I have a few questions about my wages.

I'm in my second year at my first teaching job (I was an NQT last year) in a London fringe school. Last year I was paid M1 salary and I'm still on M1 this year.

Should I not be on M2 now as I passed my NQT year?

Also, what happens if you change schools?

    Thanks

Pay policies are school specific now but if your school still follows the STPCD then yes, you should go up to M2 upon successful completion of NQT year. Have you had an appraisal yet? It could be that because the appraisal has not been done, the paperwork has not been put through. I am pretty sure in these cases the pay increase is backdated to 1st September but again, it will depend on your school.
