    This has probably been done to death but I have not log been a poster here.
    I'm lookin to make a cd of hit singles to show my students just how important science is to our culture. I need song titles that have a scientific leaning. The only 'rule' is that they have to be top 40 singles and not 'obscure' album tracks.
    To get you started:
    Electricity - Suede
    Super Massive Blackholes - Muse
    Einstein a go go - Landscape
    E = mc2 - Big Audio Dynamite

    Can any one help, please?

    I'd go for anything by Man or Astroman? With song titles like:
    The Miracle of Genuine Pyrex, Spferic Waves, Uranus, and Song Of The Two-Mile Linear Particle Accelerator Stanford University Stanford California. You can't go wrong - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihTAMUwCqQY
    In terms of science, these guys win methinks. They "cloned" themselves for their last US tour, so they could play 3 gigs at different venues across the states each night. When they reformed for a one off show in 200, their show climaxed with them wheeling a home made Tesla-Coil on stage arcing 1000s of volt.
    And there's the Why Does The Sun Shine? by They Might Be Giants - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zbgul1NpEA8
    There's also the North Pole from Brighton who's songs discuss aspects of the scientific methodology. In every copy of their EP, there's a page from the Journal of Microbiology. Download their album here http://polarisoverhead.wordpress.com/
    I also like Chemistry by Semisonic
