What schemes of work do you use in your school? We are thinking of buying one in but are not sure which one to go with. Do you use just one scheme or a mixture? Any guidance on this is appreciated.

Have a look at Engaging Science. It's dead cheap, covers everything and is great for Working Scientifically. All the lesson plans are there. They are very detailed and have to be read carefully in advance of teaching as there's often a lot of practical preparation to do. Some of the resources (worksheets) provided aren't brilliant, but can be easily adapted.
