Hi, after half term I have got 3 sessions with a mix of Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 children for science. I was wondering whether anyone had any good experiments I could do that could be differentiated widely?
    Thank you

What's the quickest way to dissolve a sugar cube
How many spoons of salt will make soap float in a basin
At what temperature will salt dissolve quickest in water
Which liquid will make sugar dissolve quickest
Which material is the heaviest? Give a range of malliable materials and a dice. They have to realise they have to make the malliable materials dice shaped and sized so they can compare weight.
    Hope this helps

The children chose their own liquids. Between all groups, they chose water, milk, squash, lemonade and fairy liquid!!
They dropped the fairy liquid on the carpet! Much hilarity and that test was abandoned.
    Have fun
