People aren't suggesting you have a lack of dedication at all. They are having a dig at the school, implying they think it's crazy to expect a busy teacher to fill an application in by hand. They are suggesting it's perhaps a school to be avoided.

Ok. Sorry. I think I've been tired and stressed out in the last few days. I agree that i feel its added EVEN more pressure to the pressure of finding a job. In actual fact now i think about it surely its going to take them longer to read applications.

My writing goes on a diagonal slant so it would take an extra hour getting a ruler on it.

Now i did enquire at one school if i could staple my statement to the form but handwrite the rest. They said yes.

Maybe it takes the admin team ages to open every email and print the forms off. Can you imagine how much ink it uses up?

"This is obviously a very "traditional" and backward looking school. The applicationprocess may tell you everything you need to know about what working there would be like!"

I think I'd like to work in a traditional, backward looking School. It might be nice, like in the old days

I used this the other day to successfully fill in a form (not a job application I hasten to add).

You upload it, edit it, download and save it.

Just to let you know... the school is re-advertising the job as not enough people applied.

I've downloaded the adobe thingy and started filling form.

3 hours so far, doing the adapting and proving each item of person spec.

GOD only knows what they think I have been doing for almost 20 years as a class teacher!

I've just spent another 2 hours on this! ADOBE is hell.

It's making my laptop run slow.

    A right old PITA!!!

    I'm really annoyed.

One Application on ADOBE has taken about five hours. It has slowed the machine down and I will have to degraf it now.

On a happier note, I've sent in two applications.

That's good. I hate completing application forms especially when forms between schools and counties vary massively. It's a timely thing. Any forthcoming interviews Sally at the moment?

    I love teaching.

But teaching does not love me.

I applied for TA jobs and I got interviews for teacher posts. Again.

This is bordering on a joke Sally. I would actually phone the school and say " I specifically applied for the TA position". Then quote the reference number.

HOW can you possibly apply to a teachers vacancy that doesn't exist????!!!!!! I mean the job reference wouldn't match up either?

    What foolery is this?

Applied for two more jobs. Not in education.

Let's hope I get an interview.
