Saturday night music

Discussion in 'Personal' started by anon3372, Jan 29, 2011.

  1. I haven't done a music thread for a while.
So what are you listening to tonight?
I am listening to Delain (the April Rain album). Dutch symphonic metal band and Charlotte Wessels has such a gorgeous voice.
  2. A discovery of my son, I have to admit.
  3. I'd love to be able to listen to some music in the evening. Unfortunately, the TV is on, it's football and, despite the fact that I've asked my son to turn the sound down, I can still hear it.
I have no interest in football, and the sound of a football match makes me want to run from the room, screaming.

A band called Brigade - their second album "Come Morning We Fight" - not the sort of music you could dance to or sing along to but its nice to have a cuddle on the sofa to.
  6. I love that juxtaposition! I have never heard of them - will google.
I have moved on to Apocalyptica - currently Faraway feat. Linda Sundblad.

  7. I am about to decamp to the bath and was going to listen to Elbow - but the lyrics "I'll be the corpse in your bathtub, useless..." sprang to mind, so perhaps not!

Erm....I'll just move onto a later album and find them
"Cramming commitments like cats in a sack"
Though the radio fave makes me feel old, is this Elbows 'When I'm 64"?
    "When my face is chamois-creased

If you think I’ll wink, I did

    Laugh politely at repeats

Yeah, kiss me when my lips are thin"

I think I'll just put it all on repeat!

Discovered this lady after watching a documentary on BBC4 (Friday night music on Beeb 4 is the best thing on TV IMO):
I defy you not to feel happy after watching this. [IMG]

  18. Dowland!!! Oh joy! I can feel a purchase coming on! Thanks, invincible.

Thanks for the Sister too, manashee, I may do some of that in the morning! (Can't do Portishead though, never found out how to listen to them)
