SATs answers that made you chuckle.

  1. Inspired from another thread.
    It's been a while since I had to do these (no longer in y6 and teaching in Wales, so no tests for several years)
    Q: Why does the Sun appear to move across the sky?
    A: Because God makes it.
    (Church school, with a member of the clergy for the headteacher!)
  2. Science (quite a few years ago), food chains- If all the ladybirds died what will happen to the sparrowhawks? They would have no friends.
    Maths 'show your working'- child drew a picture of themselves at the table writing.
    And, when I was a KS2 Marker, a child wrote at the end of her story- 'Dear Marker, Please give me a level 5. My mum would be so proud.' Unfortunately, it was a L3 :-(.

    One of my SEN children went through a phase of drawing a hand and writing the words "used my fingers" when a maths question said to show your working out.

    From a Science KS2 paper a few years ago, in which imaginary children were conducting an experiment.
    Q: "Explain why Jane is correct."
    A: "Because Jane is my auntie and I trust her."
