salary negotiations

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by lorraineob, May 17, 2011.

  1. Dear Theo,
I have recently applied for a position advertised on the main salary scale. I am actually UPS1but I have been called for an interview. Is it common for schools to be open to negoiate salary.

It just means your application was fab and there is little difference between the top of MPS and UPS1. They cannot pay you at anything except the scale point you are on. No negotiations possible, unless a private school.
