Salary Increase or not?

    Hi,

I have recently been asked by work to complete a CPT3A and an AAC course to enable me to carry out psychometric tests within school.

Could you please advise me on whether I should expect a salary increase or what the average salary is for a specialist assessor within schools? (I am currently paid as a GTA).

    Thanks.

You need to ask the school.

I appreciate that but would like some idea of the average salary for the post.

    There's no such thing.

Hardly any schools will have someone who conducts such tests on their staff and if they do, it will be probably be part of the job description of the current TLR or SLT post they hold.

If you believe you should be paid more for doing it, then say so. The school can then either offer extra pay, or try to get someone else to do it.
