When puchasing your discounted Christmas tub of chocolates, do you but Roses or Quality Street?

Quality Street. Too many duds in a Roses tin and Cadbury chocolate is not what it was. Alas.

Roses are a bit more contemporary, 1938. Quality Street lost its way when they took Miss Sweetly and Major Quality off the packaging.

Neither Roses nor Quality Street. Too sickly and too many so called truffles. I prefer soft centres every time. Of which there are few.

Roses - Quality Street have too many toffee ones for me.

When possible I avoid the problem of having to choose by getting both

Both have merits. I'd prefer a big box of biscuits - those M&S thick chocolate ones.

Roses. Then, when that tin is finished, Quality Street. :- )

These days I'm not so into them. Usually by this time of year I've had to sneakily replace either the Roses or QS, but I feel no compulsion to have them this Christmas.
As for what passes for "truffles" - ugh. It's like eating margarine. Those sea-shell ones are the worst. My husband thinks I really like them, so no doubt I'll find a box in my stocking. I don't have the heart to tell him.

Daughter's Christmas was pretty much ruined when I forgot to get some Quality Street one year. She was 28. Bring your own.
Anyway, I only like the purple caramel nutty one and the green triangle.
I get Ferrero Rocher, now. They're only for looking at, though.

Dark chocolate Lindt Lindor truffles are nice. The milk ones are too sickly.
