I'm currently teaching a low ability class in year 10 (E/F grade targets) and they will sit their AQA Unit 2 Foundation paper in a couple of weeks time. I am really struggling with engaging them in the revision we need to do. I have been playing a lot of games with them, bingo, noughts and crosses, etc. but can't really extend that to the longer functional questions which are the questions they are really finding difficult. So basically I'm asking what strategies do you have for getting these type of classes to engage in revision? Is there anything I can do to make exam practise more enjoyable/motivating for them?
