I'm just in the middle of writing a scheme of work about population for Year 8. Am quite happy to send you a copy - email me at work Rebecca.Walker@carisbrooke.iow.sch.uk am planning on putting my resources on here, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Find the best way to win the kids round is not to tell them that we're doing population as it sounds so dry, but with games like 'Play your Life Expectancy Right,' they soon decide it's great.

Have added 3 sets of population resources today, which might be useful. They're easily adapted to suit what you want.
Strongly recommend the Jelly Baby Game, which gets students thinking about population - our Year 8s have loved it this week!

If you search '300 generic activities' in the TES forum, you will find my file. I am confident that this will help you. Thanks.
