Resolutions

Discussion in 'Personal' started by gargoyle770, Dec 31, 2010.

  1. Some years ago I resolved not to make any more New Year's Resolutions - and I've not been tempted to give up on it yet!
Good luck to all those who will be making resolutions - here's hoping you achieve all you aim for!

  2. I'll start then, cause I know everyone is ,oh, so interested :)

1: to read many more classics than I have. Beginning with Animal Farm and then some John Steinbeck
2: to gain at least two more friend who are outside my circle of current mates
3: to continue seeing doing parts of London and day trips that I haven't done yet. This was one 2 years ago, and I enjoyed it!
4: to see Les Mis in the West End if possible. Is it still even on?
5: find a bloke who isn't a comittment phobe, eat less, exercise more, blah, blah, blah

  3. I resolve to find a work life balance. To do this I will aim to
    1. Get 1 job! so I can give up the supply, holiday job and weekend job.
    2. Learn to chill out so I make the most of time not spent working.

  4. I have numerous resolutions...
    1. Eat healthy and do my first 10km run.
    2. Get a permanent job that I actually want to do.
    3. Find a nice boyfriend and not a scum bag...
    4. Go to more live music gigs.
    5. Travel more.
    6. Meet a few more like minded people and make more new friends in the area I have moved to.
    7. Be happy

Erm, not sure how many of these will be feasible.

    5. To be more organised with my time.
    6. To not eat hot pork rolls from the shop next to the school. Every day.

  10. Quit smoking.
    Become debt free.
If I can do both of these I should be able to do some much needed work on the house.
Oh and a little holiday with grandson in the summer would be nice.

  11. I want to buy a new house!

  12. I have no.5 every year Egypt, and it never works for me, so this year I'll be different in an attempt to succeed:
    1) To study and achieve a decent grade in A-level Photography (and hopefully beat OH!)
    2) To take up riding again, having not done it since I was a teen many many years ago
    3) To think about finishing the Masters, if a local Uni will accept any of my PG Diploma 120 credits transfer from previous Uni
And your no. 6 made me giggle [IMG]
    4)

Me too! I don't think it'd be a list of my resolutions without it. Although, I am making good progress - I've drawn up a timetable for my commitments, bought a A4 diary so I can fit everything in there and I've made labels for my classroom at work.

  16. to continue with last years resolution of seeing and doing more about my local area - there's loads of museums etc. around here, some of which I've been to - but not for a long time, and many which I haven't.
Managed a few this year, so I'll try for a few more next year!

I'm also adding 'learn how to say no' (or get the 'mug' tattoo removed from my forehead - either/or!)

  17. 1. Get debt free - got about 8K to clear

    2. Lose a stone ish in weight

    3. Eat healthily

    4. Drink less

    5. Be a stronger person

    6. Be happy and look to the future, not back on the past

  18. to either sort out my marriage or find a way to separate.

  19. oh diana - hope 2011 works out for you
