Could not believe it. 14 weeks in after rupturing an Achilles tendon it has gone again! Struggled through at work on crutches, only been at the school just under 4 weeks from Sept and felt guilty as hell of having time off. Conservative treatment was recommended by the specialist as the best way to go although i had asked for it to be stitched. That when you are put in plaster and wait for mother nature to slowly knit the tendon back together again. Friend i know had his stitched and has had no problems since. Getting up from the sofa and i felt a 'twang' followed by the pain. That was Tues night and am in tomorrow for surgery, to have it stitched after all! Got to say i have never looked forward to an operation before this.
