Requirements of moving from M1 to M2

Discussion in 'Pay and conditions' started by hs4498, Feb 8, 2011.

  1. I completed the 1st two terms of my NQT year in an independent school and at Christmas passed my NQT induction at a state school, where I am continuing to work.
I was under the impression that once I completed my NQT year I would move up to M2, my pay check has not reflected this and none of my colleagues seem to know if I should have had a pay rise or not.
Any help would be greaty appreciated, thank you!

I'm afraid it's nothing to do with passing induction but rather it depends on your having worked for 26 weeks in the state sector, which of course you have not yet done. Unfortunately that means you're not entitled to automatic progression until next September.

  3. Thank you
