We are becoming an academy and am worried that my school will not have a legal obligation to keep me. Do private schools at the moment have to have a nursery teacher? Does anyone know if academies will be still classed as maintained settings? I suspect that we will eventually be classed like private schools, but dont know if they have to have a teacher. The private schools near me tend to have FS units which are a grey area and as they keep small classes of below 20 have one teacher, so it is hard to gauge what their legal requirements are.
