Replacement for my AQA Applied ICT Course

Discussion in 'Computing and ICT' started by domirati, Jul 10, 2012.

  1. I'm in the same position as you - what have you decided to go with? i'm steering towards Cambridge TEC but SLT not keen, the studetsn we have will not cope with the straight ICT.
  2. The exact opposite of how we think.
Recommend BTEC L3, lots of centres, lots of expertise, lots of resources.
  3. I'd totally back this opinion - BTec L3 opens up lots of potential units, offers rigorous without being overbearing assessment and you can do programming / game making if you want. A great vocational course and easily tailored to staff and student individual needs, plus can be scaled from equivalent of 1 a level up to 2 or 3 via the various units depending on how many hours you can give to it in the timetable. Coding is incorporated into the game making unit as well so it can be touched on without being a make or break unit.
