Renfrewshire Council budget

  1. So it states on their website that 60 new teacher appointments will be made: do we know how they are doing this? Handing jobs to current probationers? Open competition?

    They also plan to save £300k by running the supply system more efficiently: anyone know more?

    The appointments will be probationers, not full time contracts.
    They will say the same next year while forgetting about the 60 who are disposed of out the back door.

    I hear that the indicative ballot for industrial action was 97% in favour, with a turnout of 76%.
